C9 is a clear, water-white liquid with a kerosene-like odor, offering high solvency and compatibility.

Light Diesel Oil (L.D.O.)

Light Diesel Oil (L.D.O.) is a Class C category fuel with a flash point above 66°C, ensuring safer handling and storage. It is produced as a blend of distillate components with a small portion of residual fractions. Marketed under BIS 1460-2000 specifications for diesel fuels, L.D.O. is widely used across industries for boilers, furnaces, and engines due to its efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Safety, Handling & Properties

C9 solvent requires careful handling due to its hazardous effects. Exposure through inhalation, skin, or eyes may cause irritation, dermatitis, dizziness, or respiratory discomfort, though it is not listed as carcinogenic. Safety measures include proper ventilation, protective gear (PVC gloves, boots, face shields), and avoiding heat or open flames. With a flash point of 35°C, boiling range of 145–205°C, specific gravity of 0.79, and insolubility in water, it is flammable and must be stored under controlled conditions.
